DoD SWFT Fingerprinting

Since 2010, the Department of Defense (DoD) has been in the process of transitioning to electronic capture and submission of fingerprint images in support of all background investigations.  All components of the DoD were directed to complete their transition by December 31, 2013. Companies participating in the National Industrial Security Program (NISP) are also required to transition to electronic fingerprinting no later than December 31, 2013.

Speedy Fingerprinting is able to provide fingerprinting services to companies who are required to submit their fingerprints to the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) electronically under the Secure Web Fingerprint Transmission (SWFT) Program for all types of background investigations. We offer the following services in support of the SWFT program:

  • Digital Fingerprint capture and submission to OPM via SWFT.
  • Digital Fingerprint capture and hard copy card (SF-87 and FD-258) printing.
  • Hard copy card conversions to digital format and submission to OPM via SWFT.
  • On-site Fingerprinting Services for individuals or groups.

Often document notarization and I9 verification is needed at the same time a fingerprint submission is submitted. We can provide both additional services during the fingerprint appointment.

We accept cash, checks, American Express, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover for all services via the Square payment processing service. Payments are due at the time of appointment unless monthly invoicing has been established.

Appointments are preferred for fingerprinting sessions. Use this link to set an appointment time. We accept walk-ins but walk-ins run the risk of coming when we are out on a mobile appointment or in the office with someone else. Call 256-797-2197 to arrange a mobile appointment if that is your preference.
